Animal Liberation's May public meeting webinar

  • Via zoom https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83025858528 (map)

Animal Liberation is hosting our second public meeting for the year and we would love to have you there!

Our public meeting webinars are a fantastic way to learn about animal rights issues and current campaigns that the Animal Liberation team are working on, as well as other like minded organisations and advocates whom we are honoured to host on our webinars. It is also a wonderful way for anyone to become involved in animal rights work and hear from other compassionate people!

π–π‘πžπ§: 6:30pm (AEST) | Thursday, 2 May.

𝐅𝐒𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐀𝐞𝐫: Animal Liberation's Regional Campaigns Manager, Lisa Ryan, will be providing a brief update about some of Animal Liberation's recent campaigns, direct actions and submissions work and will also be providing a presentation update about our 'Breaking the camel's back' exposΓ©, our current background work, our next steps and how you can become more involved.

π’πžπœπ¨π§π 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐀𝐞𝐫: Dalian Pugh was raised in bushland where his family cared for orphaned native animals. He became involved in the campaign to protect north-east NSW's rainforests in the late 1970s, and has since devoted most of his life to protecting forests and native wildlife.

He co-founded the North East Forest Alliance in 1989, and was awarded an Order of Australia in 2003 for his work protecting forests. Koalas have been a particular focus over the last decade. Dalian considers that in the midst of our climate and extinction crisis, stopping the rampant logging of all public and native forests must be a priority.

𝐓𝐑𝐒𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐀𝐞𝐫: Adam Walsh became conscious of the mistreatment of animals after visiting a food market in Siem Reap, Cambodia. After discovering more about how animals are used for human benefit are treated in Australia, he changed the impact of his lifestyle and following an enlightening trip to India, decided to pursue animal advocacy as a career.

Adam has worked for the Animal-Free Science Advocacy (formerly Humane Research Australia) since 2019 as Operations and Administration Officer. During this time he has also written case studies and an Environmental Impact page which looks at the way animal-based research impacts the environment.

We hope to see you there!
