We are hosting our third Public Meeting Webinar for 2024 on June 27 and we would love to see you there!
Our public meeting webinars are a fantastic way to learn about animal rights issues and current campaigns that the Animal Liberation team are working on, as well as other like-minded organisations and advocates whom we are honoured to host on our webinars. It is also a wonderful way for anyone to become involved in animal rights work and hear from other compassionate people!

ππ©πππ€ππ« π: Harley McDonald-Eckersall
Harley brings 8 years of experience as an activist and organiser for animals to FTP. At age 19, Harley co-founded the organisation Young Voices for Animals (YVA) with the mission to educate and inspire the next generation of animal liberation activists. With YVA, Harley delivered a ground-breaking education program to empower high-school students to take action for animals, as well as coordinating Australia's first Youth Animal Rights Conference.
After taking part in her first direct action during the Dominion Anniversary day of action in April 2019, Harley moved to the UK to work on messaging and strategy for Animal Rebellion. It was here that she gained experience executing large-scale acts of civil disobedience, including blockades at McDonalds four UK distribution centres; costing the company millions of dollars and affecting their national supply chain.
Harley will be speaking about Farm Transparency Project's latest campaigns including the Shut Down Slaughterhouses campaign and End Dairy Slaughter.
ππ©πππ€ππ« π: Kate Luke
Kate is the co-founder and manager of Little Oak Sanctuary and is deeply committed to promoting compassion and justice for farmed animals. Kate's journey into animal advocacy began in 2011 when herself and partner James were moved by an exposΓ© on the live export industry by Animals Australia.
This revelation led them to explore the realities of animal agriculture in Australia, which then led them to adopting a vegan lifestyle. As they lived on a small rural block of land, they began rescuing animals in need, including two tiny piglets who profoundly touched their lives. The sanctuary, founded in 2013, was inspired by one of these piglets, Little Timmy, who sadly lost his life after suffering a seizure at about 6 months of age. Kate and James honoured the memory of his strength and character by planting an oak tree over his grave.
His spirit continues to guide their mission; to plant seeds of compassion in the community through sharing the individual stories of farmed animals, who are so rarely seen as the individuals they are.
We hope to see you there,
for the animals.
